Ayokunle Oni is a partner at Philips Oyedele & Co. He is a first-class graduate of accounting from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), an Associate Chartered and Certified Accountant UK (ACCA), a Certified Risk Manager (CRM), and obtained an MBA (Financial Management) from Obafemi Awolowo University.
He started his career with KPMG, one of the largest accounting and financial services firms in the world, before moving into the Nigerian banking space. He has worked in and headed the risk and assurance departments of so many financial institutions in Nigeria. He has led various risk management projects ranging from BASEL I and II implementations to IFRS 9 ECL risk modeling and ICAAP design, report, and defense.
